SC Ordered Karnataka To Release Cauvery Water to Tamil Nadu

Supreme Court directed the government of Karnataka to release 6000 cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu for 3 days. The court also reminds that the state government should fall in line with its order rather than defying it. Attorney general Mukul Rohatgi told to court that Central government will call for a meeting between the chief ministers of both states. Supreme Court ordered the central government to convene the said meeting with respective state chief ministers Jayalalitha and Siddaramaiah and revert by 30th September. As the Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalitha has been hospitalized, she may choose to appoint a representative for the meeting.
