Horticulture training for farmers in Telangana
Hyderabad, Sept.27: Telangana Horticulture Department is organizing a three-day training camp for farmers at Telangana Horticulture Training Center located at Nampally here from September 27 to 29.
In a press note here today, Horticulture Commissioner L Venkatram Reddy stated that 45 farmers from Medak, Warangal, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts participated in the training program started on Tuesday. He said the farmers would visit poly houses in the nearby districts on the second day i.e. on September 28. He said experts would explain about poly houses at field level.
The experts will teach the farmers about the techniques of growing vegetables and flowers. They will explain how to take precautionary measures in the construction of poly houses and creation of dividers between the saplings, the distance between saplings, management of fertilizers, water, management of temperature, maintenance of moisture in the soil and how to get more yielding and other related issues, Venkatram Reddy said. The experts will clear doubts of farmers while advising them on best farming techniques.
Horticulture Department officer Chandrasekhar also participated in the program.
