GHMC starts demolition of illegal structures at nalas in city

Hyderabad, Sept. 26: With the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the GHMC demolition squad swung into action and started razing illegal constructions abutting nalas at various places across the City. The GHMC squads demolished illegal structures at nalas at Sherilingampally, Madinaguda, Gacchibowli, Kothaguda and so on. The squad also started removing illegal constructions across Musi nala at Swarupnagar under Uppal limits. Several people had encroached the Musi nala and constructed huge buildings leading to submergence of Swarupnagar, Bank Colony and Annapurna Colony under rain waters. GHMC City Planning Officer Nagi Reddy said they will also remove illegal structures at nalas located at Ramanthapur, Chilukanagar and Hubsiguda. The GHMC staff removed illegal constructions at Ali Nagar nala which goes to Bandlaguda tanks through Hunda Nagar to Errakunta, Palle Cheruvu; The GHMC staff destroyed the illegal construction of NSK Bliss Meadows on Ramakrishna Nagar nala at Madinaguda; the staff removed the illegal construction on Kapra Nalla Cheruvu nala constructed by Mahalaxmi LPG Gas company; the staff removed illegal construction on Swarupnagar nala at Uppal; the staff removed illegal construction on the nala of Ajantha Gate of Nampally Exhibition Grounds; the staff also removed the illegal construction of Banjara Function Hall at Banjara Hills Nala.
