BJP dubs TRS as party of empty promises
Hyderabad, Sept.23: Telangana BJP official spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao today alleged that the TRS government’s incompetence led to inundation of various localities in the capital city due incessant rains in the past two days.
In a statement, the BJP leader has demanded that the TRS government answer who were responsible for the pathetic situation. “How can we call Hyderabad a global city, world-class city and happening city with the lack of basic planning and sustainability”, he asked.
The TRS came to power in the State with promises of zero political corruption, transparency, able administration and people-centric policies. On the eve of GHMC elections, it also made lofty promises of cleaning up the civic mess created by former governments through razing illegal structures, realigning the road and drainage infrastructure, rebuilding a sustainable and world class city with all civic facilities for its citizens, he said.
Municipal Administration & Urban Development Minister K Taraka Ramarao had announced after winning GHMC elections an ambitious 100-day plan for Hyderabad with a time bound agenda to repair and renovate roads, drains, besides providing and improving basic civic facilities, he said.
Krishna Sagar Rao alleged that the functioning of the TRS government proved that it is purely a government of “empty promises” and was totally incompetent to deliver even after two years of its rule.
