Revanth’s bid to plant saplings in potholes foiled
Hyderabad, Sept.19: Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy and his followers were taken into preventive custody when they tried to protest in a novel way against the State government’s apathy towards the city roads. To protest against the bad roads in the city, the TDP workers and leaders wanted to protest in a novel way by planting saplings in potholes on the roads in Yousufguda and Srinagar colony in Jubilee Hills area. However, the police, who got prior information, managed to foil their attempt and took them into custody. Earlier, Revanth Reddy alleged that MA&UD Minister K Tarakarama Rao, who promised to change the scenario of the city in 100 days, has miserably failed to keep his word. Though the hopeless condition of roads in the city was causing hardship to the citizens, the State government was not bothered to recarpet the roads, , he said. He called upon the people to accost the TRS leaders whenever they visit their areas about the bad condition of roads and the government’s criminal negligence. TDP official spokesperson E Peddireddy, TNTUC State president B N Reddy, TDP Hyderabad convener M N Srinivas, Co-convener Sarangpani, official spokesperson Nannuri Narsireddy, Gaddam Rajender Reddy, TDP leaders Kuna Venkatesh, Pradip Choudary, Deepak Reddy and others participated in the protest
