DPRs for national highways: Tummala
Hyderabad, Sept.16: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today directed that the detailed project reports pertaining to six proposed national highways be sent to the Centre. At a high-level review meeting with government advisor Paparao and MP Vinod Kumar the minister asked to entrust the job of lydar survey for the 624 km long highways and include in the 2016-17 annual plan works worth Rs 2708.47 cr for getting permissions. The six highways include Sangareddy-Nanded Akola 140 km, Jagtial Karimnagar Warangal 130 km, Kodad- Khammam 40 km, Suryapet-Khammam-Aswharaopet 177 km, Mancherial- Chandapr 90 km and Hyderabad – Manneguda 47 km. The minister also asked to include 233.20 km road works worth Rs 1173.58 cr in the annual plan and completion of lydar survey of 1931 km to be developed as national highways. He directed that a senior official be deputed to Delhi to pursue with the Centre for speedy disbursal of the works. Besides Vinod Kumar’s efforts, we will take help chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to write a letter in this regard he said. Nageshwar Rao said that two national highways out of six agreed by the Centre for Hyderabad should be linked up, plan to construct a flyover at Amberpet, elevated road Uppal ring road by coordinating with Metro rail authorities and Lee Associates.
