Botsa slams Chandrababu for calling up Modi

Hyderabad, Sept.14: YSR Congress Party leader Botsa Satyanarayana today criticized AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for calling up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for special package against the special status tag. Addressing a press conference at YCP office here he said that there is nothing new in special package as 14th finance commission recommended it. He also expressed displeasure saying that he cannot understand as to why Chandrababu is happy even though Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley denying the special status to the state. Just for commissions, Chandrababu Government opposed the Centre’s promise to provide permissions for environment and others for completing the Polavaram project he alleged. The Telugu Desam Government agreed to the Centre’s promise of completing the Polavaram project at the cost of special status he fumed. The YSRCP leader slammed the TD government for not able to get the special tag and remaining happy with the Polavaram project besides accepting the special package from the Centre. Ridiculing the comments that Polavaram project will be completed with copper dam, he flayed the government on Swiss Challenge method. He said the government has to fund Rs 12,000 crore towards sharing of 48 per cent funds for capital city construction. The YSRCP leader accused Naidu government of looting public money by sharing 58 per cent of funds which is ought to be spent by Singapore Company for infrastructure. The Chief Minister was resorting to dump the people and ignore their sentiments on the issue, Satyanarayana said. He also charged that the TD chief lost the State’s advantages to Telangana by involving in the infamous cash for vote scam.
