TS to launch many activities for promotion of Tourism

Hyderabad, Sept.14: On the eve of World Tourism Day celebrations-2016 on September 27 with the theme ‘Tourism for All -- Promoting Universal Accessibility’, the Telangana State Tourism Department has decided to take up several activities for the promotion of Tourism. The Tourism Department Commissioner has said that the activities to be taken up are as follows: Ramoji Film City Tour for the students of Telangana state Tribal & SC Welfare Residential Educational Institutions; Online Photo Contest (Capture your moment in Telangana) with the theme Heritage, Nature, Culture etc; Painting competitions to the school students for primary, middle and higher grade; Food festival at all the classified Hotels and Restaurants; Organising of special Heritage Walks from Charminar to Chowmahalla Palace and Qutub Shahi Tombs on September 25; Selected Photographs applied for photo contest will be showcased on World Tourism Day at Ravindra Bharathi on September 27; Organising of vintage car rally on September 25; Presentation of awards of excellence to all segments of tourism and travel industry at Ravindra Bharati on September 27.
