Gandra asks CM to withdraw statement on him

Hyderabad, Aug.25: Asking Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to speak facts, former MLA Gandra Venkatramana Reddy said the State government indulged in celebrations while intellectuals and others pooh-poohing the Maharshtra agreement. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Gandra countered KCR, who mentioned his name in Begumpet meeting on Wednesday, stating that he didn’t go to Delhi asking special package for Telangana region instead of separate State. He said he was not an MLA when YS Rajasekhar Reddy was the Chief Minister. He said he became an MLA in 2009 but by then Chief Minister YSR died in a helicopter accident. “It is not correct on the part of KCR to speak “lies against me”, he said and demanded that the Chief Minister withdraw his statement.
