Former Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar has charged Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu with mortgaging State interests to protect Revanth Reddy in the note-for-vote case. The case involves Chandrabau Naidu to the extent that his supposed voice over a phone call is recorded in the video. Telling Chandrababu to buck up and not to show any weakness, Arun Kumar advised him `You have done wonders and could do great things in future also.' He instanced Chandrababu's overnight revolt against NTR and getting into the gaddi in the fear that Laxmiparvati might become the Chief Minister. At present, however, some crucial link in the Chandrababu line of thinking was missing. As a result he was not able to achieve the promised Special Category Status for AP even. He should therefore start believing in himself. Arun Kumar suggested that Chandrababu should threaten the Centre. He could say he was going to campaign in the assembly elections around the country for non-BJP parties, for example. The Centre would then sit up and concede the demand. Mere pleading and plodding would not do. Threaten the Centre. Chandrababu could say he would campaign in Punjab, in Uttar Pradesh, and tell the people the injustice done to Andhra Pradesh after promises were made.
