Babu to meet Telangana TDP leaders today

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will be meeting party leaders from Telangana at his camp office in Vijayawada on Saturday evening, according to Ravula Chandrasekhara Reddy. The urgency of the meeting is obviously the denial of Special Category status to AP by the Centre following a discussion in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. Ravula stated the meeting would discuss, among other things, the need for strengthening the party in Telangana, future plans and so on. He said in this context that the Central government must implement the promises it had made. Just because there was a change in government did not mean that promises made through an act of parliament on the floor of the House should not be done away with. The promises do not change with a change of government. Ravula said not keeping promises made on the floor of the Houses would result in undermining of democracy.
