Get SCS or quit, Bhumana tells Chandrababu Naidu

Reiterating that special status issue was being dodged by ther TDP and the BJP, YSR Congress said on Thursday that Chandrababu Naidu had no right to continue in office unless the issue was resolved. ‘We have undertaken various agitations under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, while Chandrababu Naidu had only watered it down on various occasions, and he has no right to be in office,’ party Spokesperson Bhumana Karunakara Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad. Prime Minister Narender Modi had assured us during the Tirupati meeting that the BJP and its coalition would accord 10-year special status, while Chandrababu Naidu had gone one step ahead and said that they would give 15 years of Special Category Status if voted to power. After coming to power, they have conveniently forgotten the issue, while our Party and our president have been relentlessly fighting for the SCS. When a private bill was moved in the Rajya Sabha the TDP had expressed its willingness to support it and was playing the numbers game. To prove its sincerity, the BJP should immediately confer special status and Chandrababu Naidu should quit office if he fails to bring SCS for the State, he said.
