Mamata backs GST Bill, blames Cong for stalling Bills

Parliament on Tuesday had an unusual visitor and old member Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The West Bengal Chief Minister entered the Central Hall of Parliament flanked by her Trinamul MPs. She entered like a queen, walking ahead of the entourage and went to her usual corner seat in the last row of the Central Hall. Almost immediately 50-60 journalists and 40 MPs surrounded her and jostled to hear her. She began by talking about Goods and Services Tax Bill. The WB Finance Minster Amit Mitra had a meeting with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. She took the occasion to accuse the Congress of stalling developmental bills such as the GST. She held the fort for more than one hour at the Central Hall.
