CM angry over delay in Krishna pushkaram works

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was angry on Tuesday that the Krishna Pushkaram works were yet to be completed. He immediately called for a report on the reasons for the delay in the completion of the pushkaram works. He also wanted action against officials who were negligent about the works. Chandrababu further directed that no more the controversial nomination method should be adopted for giving contract works. He said hereafter work should be allotted by tenders but the duration of the projects should be reduced. However, all the ongoing works for the pushkarams have been approved by the Cabinet. The Cabinet decided to set an IIPM centre in the capital region. It was decided to train up doctors and post them in Primary Health Centres. It was also decided to increase the commission of ration shop dealers from the present Rs 20 to Rs 70 for a quintal sold.
