Why blame Opposition always, CPI asks TRS

Why blame the opposition for everything? CPI leader Chada Venkat Reddy on Monday asked the TRS government. He was speaking at an all-party meet on Mallannasagar-affected people in Hyderabad. Venkat Reddy said the TRS government was flaying the opposition in case of every criticism. He said the government was exposing its dictatorial attitude. Instead of anger over eveything, the government had better take the opinion of the experts concerned with irrigation projects. He urged the government to withdraw the cases filed against various leaders and others in connection with the ongoing agitation against the Mallannasagar reservoir. The opposition parties have gone to great lengths, including visiting comparable lift-irrigation projects in Haryana, to prove that no reservoir to displace the people in 14 villages under the Mallannasagar reservoir was necessary. They contend that lift irrigation does not need a reservoir of the proposed proportions. A simple big sump would do.
