Police file case against TDP MLA in land transaction

The police have registered a case against TDP Youth leader and Mummidivaram MLA Datla Subbaraju on the charge of being involved in a land transaction. The police were forced to file a case following the AP High Court issuing notices to the MLA along with three others. The case pertains to a land transaction at Katrenikota in East Godavari district. High Court notices have been issued to Subbaraju along with local Circle Inspector Ramana Rao sub-inspector Sheikh Jani Basha. Subbaraju, however, claims that he had nothing to do with transaction and that he was deliberately implicated in the case.
