JV Ramudu relieved as DGP just prior to retirement

While there was speculation that Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police JV Ramudu was going to get an extension of two months in service, he was relieved of the post two days prior to retirement on Thursday. The government immediately appointed the APSRTC Managing Director, Nanduri Sambasiva Rao, as the new DGP.
