IT raids Komatireddy Venkatreddy firms

The Income-tax department is conducting raids on the mining and other companies owned by the outspoken Congress leader, Komatireddy Venkatreddy, on Thursday. He owns companies in Nalgonda district and Kakinada. This morning, all of a sudden, the IT Department began conducting raids in all the companies in Nalgonda and Kakinada owned by Venkatreddy. The raids are continuing into the late afternoon. While the IT raids are a clear setback to the Congress MLA, political circles in the Telugu States are discussing the raids on a prominent leader.
