Telugu States discuss Krishna issue again

The Telugu States are vying with each other for greater share of the Krishna waters and have begun fresh talks to resolve the issue. The Krishna Waters Disputes Tribunal opened talks at its Hyderabad office on Wednesday afternoon to resolve the issue. Both the States and their respective officials are attending the talks with facts and figures in the context of the AP Reorganisation Act. Recently, the Union Irrigation Ministry organised a meeting in New Delhi for the Telugu States, but the issues remained unsolved. Irrigation Ministers of the two States, Devineni Uma and T. Harish Rao, failed to break the ice. The fresh round at the bureaucratic level may solve the issues.
