Thousands of patients visiting Fever Hospital

Patients in large numbers are thronging the Fever Hospital due to seasonal diseases on a daily basis. Hospital superintendent Shekar said some 1,000 patients were visiting the hospital as out-patients everyday. They included those with cholera and viral fever symptoms. He said Dengue cases were also being registered. Fever Hospital, also called quarantine hospital, was started in the Nizam area when there was an outbreak of the plague over 100 years ago. Ever since the people bank on the hospital for cure to infections.
