Vizag to witness BRICS meet on urbanisation

Vizag is increasingly becoming a global conferences city. The BRICS conference on urbanisation is going to be organised in the city from September 14. Some 500 international delegates are expected to attend the conference. Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary SP Thakkar on Wednesday held a review meeting ahead of the conference. The organisation and accommodation for the delegates were discussed. He directed the Town Planning and Urban officials to outline the agenda for the conference. They should also take interest in organising the meet. Vizag has already witnessed an international investment meet, maritime conference and also BRICS meeting. The meet on urbanisation in Vizag was particularly wanted by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
