Bank, Court notices on loans scaring DWACRA women: YCP

the YSR Congress has demanded that the Chief Minister should give a statement, assuring the DWACRA groups that their loans would be waived to instill confidence in them as many groups are getting court notices. ‘They have been getting bank notices earlier, but now they are getting court notices, as they became defaulters after they believed the promises of Chandrababu Naidu that their loans would be waived and they can redeem their gold pawned in the banks,’ party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Tuesday. The women are scared by the notices, as majority of the DWACRA groups are now degraded from Category A to Category C, as they became defaulters believing Chandrababu Naidu’s election promises. The DWACRA groups owe about Rs 14,700 crore and the state has given just Rs 3,000 crore revolving fund, which serves no purpose. The situation now pushed the women towards private money lenders, which in turn was giving a fillip to the call money racket, she said. It is time that the Chief Minister gave an assurance to the women groups that the loans would be waived, which will instill confidence among them, as they are shattered by the notices from banks and courts, she added.
