Harish reminds Digvijay about his role in TRS defections
Telangana Major Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Saturday described as laughable Congress in-charge Digivijay Singh's comment that the TRS' was family rule. He turned around and pointed to the Congress dynastic rule.
Unlike Congress `nominations', the TRS struggled for 14 years for Telangana and won the elections thereafter. Unlike the dynastic nominations, the TRS leaders were elected by the people.
As for defections, the Congress had a history of encouraging defections from Indira Gandhi to PV Narasimha Rao and after. He noted in this connection that in 2014, the elected TRS MLAs were admitted by the Congress in the presence of Digvijay Singh himself.
The Congress was at present conspiring to thwart the irrigation projects being taken up by the TRS government. Whatever be the blocks, the TRS government was resolved to complete the irrigation projects in the State.
