July 7 & 8 declared holidays in Telangana

The Telangana state Government has declared July 7 and 8 as holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramzan). Originally, the Government had declared July 6 and 7 as Ramzan Holidays. The change was necessitated as the moon could not be sighted on Tuesday (July 5). Now, the holiday was declared on July 7 and instead of July 6. Hyderabad City Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy has notified for information of the general public that in order to facilitate proper control and regulation of traffic in connection with ID-UL-FITR (Ramzan) prayers at the Mir Alam Tank Idgah and the Secunderabad Idgah, “One- Way” traffic regulation will be enforced on some roads on July 7 from 8 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., i.e., on the day of festival as decided.
