CM releases Pattiseema waters into Krishna

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday released the Godavari waters into the Krishna river at Pattiseema, raising hopes of farmers in the Krishna delta that they would have a bumper crop this year like last year. Earlier, Ministers Devineni Uma, Kollu Ravindra and Manikyala Rao offered prayers at Pattiseema. Then the Chief Minister released the waters for the Krishna delta comprising Krishna, Guntur and West Godavari districts. Pattiseema is located in West Godavari districts. Last year also, the delta farmers had a good crop year. This year, too, they are likely to have a bumper crop. Pattiseema is aimed at preventing the Godavari waters going waste into the sea. It is a massive water-saving project.
