Five dropped from Modi's ministerial council

New Delhi, July 5: Five ministers were on Tuesday dropped from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's council of ministers ahead of the swearing-in of 19 new faces and elevation of Prakash Javadekar to a cabinet rank. According to sources, all the five were Ministers of State. Those dropped are: Sanwar Lal Jat (Water Resources), Nihalchand (Panchayati Raj), Ram Shankar Katheria (HRD), Mansukh Bhai Vasava (Tribal Affairs) and Mohanbhai Kundaria (Agriculture). With the induction of the 19 and the dropping of the five MoS, the strength of Prime Minster's Council of Ministers, including himself now stands at 78.
