Student leaders being suppressed, detained, says Telangana JAC

Telangana Political JAC, OU JAC and several student unions have alleged that the TRS government is resorting to suppression and detention of the students, who played a key role in the Telangana movement. On Monday, the unions organized a round table at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram in protest against the State government’s suppression of the student movements. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Haragopal said it was not correct on the part of the government to curb freedom of the students. He demanded that the government stop detentions and suppression of the students. Student leaders Kota Srinivas, Lingaswamy, Sharath, Vijay, Salim, Shyam, Nirudyoga Sangala leader Manavatha Roy, AAP leader Prof. Vishweshwar Rao and several Left parties leaders participated in the meeting.
