Harish calls TDP & Congress Shakuni for blocking Mallannasagar

Telangana Major Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao on Monday described the TDP and Congress opposition to irrigation projects in the State as playing the role of Shakuni of the Kaurava infamy. He said only by using the Godavari waters could the problem of farmers' suicides be arrested. He said in this connection that only the completion of the Mallannasagar project would end the woes of the Medak farmers. But the Shakuni-mamas were against it. He further alleged that jealousy about the irrigation projects taken up by the TRS government that the opposition parties were blocking the projects. He was confident that the TRS government policies would change the fortunes of the people of Telangana for the better.
