Temples’ removal sours TDP-BJP relationship in AP
Hyderabad, July 3: The relations between the ruling TDP and BJP in Andhra Pradesh soured following removal of some temples by the officials in order to make arrangements for the ensuing Krishna pushkarams.
The AP BJP leaders expressed their displeasure on this sensitive issue which was refuted by the TDP leaders. The BJP leaders, along with Kanna Lakshminarayana visited the place where temples were removed. They condemned the action of the officials and tried to speak to the media near Indrakeeladri Goshala.
However, TDP leader Buddha Venkanna and his supporters tried to prevent the BJP leaders leading to heated arguments between the BJP and TDP leaders. Venkanna denied that they ever prevented BJP leaders to speak. He also said though temples were removed, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wanted to build these temples at one place. The CM has a good idea, but it was not proper to use this issue for selfish political mileage, he said.
