KCR meets Governor, urges immediate split of HC

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met the common Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan, on Wednesday afternoon and urged him to intervene in the split of the Andhra Pradesh High Court so as to end the agitation by laywers in the State. In the half-an-hour meeting at Raj Bhavan, KCR talked about the problems arising from the delayed split of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He said as a result, Telangana judges, Judicial Officers and lawyers were facing problems. He is also said to have informed the Governor about the irregularities in the lists of Judicial Officers nominated for Telangana. He appealed to the Governor for an immediate division of the AP High Court and called for the completion of the necessary details.
