SC clears Group 1 exams for AP, TS

The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments to hold separate exams for the Group 1 posts in their respective States. Andhra Pradesh could hold the Group 1 exams under the APPSC and Telangana could hold the exams under the TSPSC. The court ordered that the examinations should be completed within 3 months. The Group 1 notification came out in 2011. Ever since the aspirants have been waiting for the exams. Further the court allowed Telangana to conduct the exams with the old syllabus. The same order applies to AP also. With the court intervention, the aspirants can go ahead with their preparations. More than the Central services, the aspirants prefer Group services.
