Agriculture-related Depts. shifted to Guntur from Hyderabad

All the agriculture-related departments of the Andhra Pradesh government were on Monday being shifted to Guntur in the new AP capital region from Hyderabad. The departments included Agriculture, Marketing and Gardens, all of which would be shifted to Guntur Market Yard. Cooperatives Office would be shifted to Shyamalanagar, Municipality Department to Inner Ring Road office, NG Ranga University Office to Agatavarappadu, Irrigation SE Office to Kankaragunta Gate, Scheduled Castes Office to Collector Road and Forestry Office to Undavalli in Tadepalli mandal. Thirteen departments were already inaugurated in Vijayawada on Monday. They have been housed in private accommodation. As the deadline of June 27 set by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was reached, most of the employees shifted from Hyderabad had already arrived in the capital region. Women staff have been provided with special accommodation in the new capital.
