Pulichintala oustees to be rehabilitated: Devineni

Andhra Pradesh Major Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma on Saturday reassured the oustees under the Pulichintala project that they would be rehabilitated. The oustees under Pulichintala in Guntur are mainly in Nalgonda district in Telangana. The TRS government had made an issue about compensation to them. The matter is a bone of contention between the two governments. He said the Krishna river waters issue between the two State governments would be resolved in cooperation. Talking to newsmen in Hyderabad, Devineni said that AP had spent Rs 1805 crore for modernising the Nagarjunasagar project. The aim of the government was to ensure that both the farmers and the people were not put to loss. As for the shift of the government employees from Hyderabad, he said the government had given special attention for their amenities. He said the women employees shifting to Amaravati would be provided with special accommodation.
