CM opens NTR Anna Canteen in Amaravati
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday inaugurated the NTR Anna Canteen catering subsidised food to the people at Amaravati.
Either a meal or snacks is served in the canteen for Rs 5.
After the inauguration, Chandrababu served the food to the customers. After serving he himself had the food. Along with him Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa and ministers Narayana and Paritala Sunita and MP Galla Jadev had snacks.
Serving clean food is the aim of the Anna canteens. The canteens would be opened all over the State.
Such subsidised food outlets are existing in Tamil Nadu and Telangana also. In fact, one of the main reasons for Jayalalithaa's return to power, back to back, is stated to be the popularity of the Amma Canteens in Tamil Nadu. In Telangana, there are Municipal Canteens. All these serve food at Rs 5.
