Ground-breaking for six-lane road to Andhra capital

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the six-lane road at Venkatapalem in Guntur district. The 18.3 kilometre road, expected to cost Rs 215 crore, will lead to the new Andhra Capital Amaravati. As part of the project, a new road will be laid linking Uddandarayapalem, Lingayapalem and Tallayapalem. This road will be integrated into the six-lane road. Also a part of the project is a new bridge from the Kanakadurga Varadhi to the PWD Workshop. Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa and ministers Ravela Kishore Babu, Prattipati Pulla Rao and Devineni Uma, AP Mahila Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari, Galla Jayadev, MP, T. Shravank Kumar and G.V. Anjaneyulu, MLAs, and officials participated in the ceremony.
