What about unorganised labour among Mallanna oustees, asks Revanth

TDP working president in Telangana Revanth Reddy is going on a two-day fast at Etigadda Kistapur from Saturday to demand justice to the Mallannasagar oustees. He assured the people of 14 villages coming under submergence under the project on Friday that the TDP would fight for them till justice was done to them. They should get their rightful compensation. Revanth said in this connection that the ruling TRS was resorting to vicious campaign that he was coming in the way of projects in the State. There was no truth in the charge. He demanded compensation as per the Land Acquisition Act for the people of the 14 villages. He noted that the government had promised two-bedroom houses for the oustees. A GO was also issued that Rs 5.80 lakhs would be given for each acre acquired for the project. However, there was a lacuna in the GO because it did not take into account the unorganised labour in the 14 villages, he added.
