Swamy takes back words to fight for another day against economist Arvind

The resentment in the BJP to his vehement attack on the economic adviser to the Prime Minister, Dr Arvind Subaramanian, has made party leader, Dr Subramaniam Swamy, to take back his words against the economic expert. On Wednesday, Dr Swamy charged that Arvind was a Congress supporter, and within 24 hours he took back his words. He had to do so because the BJP in general does not want the fairy tale of the Indian economy to end because of a change in the bureaucracy. Dr Swamy tweeted: `I know everything about Arvind Subramanian. Since the BJP firmly believed that he is valuable for the country, I am withdrawing my demand for a change of guard at this stage. Till the truth is out, I'll wait.' The proof of the pudding is in the eating: Indian economy is doing good amid the shambles all around. Dr Swamy ought to know because, all said and done, he is no mean economic expert either having taught in Harvard.
