AP to give water to farmers for third crop: CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Nidu said on Monday that Polavaram project would be completed with the assistance of the Central government. He was addressing a function after inaugurating Eruvaka programme at Chittivaram under Narsapuram amndal in West Godavari district. `We can yield better production if we utilized modern techniques in agriculture. The government is taking measures to provide water to farmers to cultivate third crop,' the chief minister said. Steps were being taken to provide loans to the farmers. A meeting with bankers would be held once in two months, the Chief Minister said. All villages would be connected with roads and more focus would be put on sanitation in villages, he said.
