Heavy rain hits allotment of plots to farmers at Amaravati

While the heavy rainfall in the coastal districts was no hindrance to formal agricultrual operations in West Godavari, the rain was cited as the reason for the postponement of allotment of agricultural plots in Tulluru near Amaravati on Monday. The plots would be allotted to farmers by a draw of lots. The formal allotment of plots was now postponed to June 25, Minister Narayana said. The same day, seed access road would be formally launched at Kanakadurga Varadhi in Vijayawada to Tulluru. On June 25, subsidised Chandranna canteen would be formally opened at Sachivalayam in Tulluru. After that the allotment of plots would be done. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would himself do the draw of lots.
