Is KCR willing to sell farmland @10 lakh per acre, Jeevan Reddy asks

Congress MLA Jeevan Reddy on Saturday questioned whether Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would be willing to sell his farmhouse land at the rate of Rs 10 lakhs per acre. Jeevan Reddy posed the question at a time when the government was willing to give Rs 10 lakh compensation for the people losing their land under the Mallannasagar project that is expected to supply irrigation water to Erravelli, where KCR has his farmhouse, and other areas. Reacting to the charge of false propaganda made by T. Harish Rao for the opposition against the project, the Congress MLA said when they were demanding justice for the farmers losing their lands it was being dubbed opposition campaign. He said 123 GO for the project would not do justice. The GO did not contain details of compensation, rehabilitation and other issues facing the farmers. The reported Rs 10 lakh compensation per acre was horrible. Instead the State government could implement the Central provisions for land acquisition and do justice to farmers.
