YCP condemns TRS land acquisition by force

Condemning the Telangana government policy of acquiring land by force, State YSR Congress Party on Friday demanded a compensation of Rs 25 lakh per acre for the Tadakapalli reservoir oustees. ‘Redesigning the reservoir is aimed at benefitting KCR’s constituency Gajwel and the acquisition of land by force is highly condemnable,’ party leaders Nalla Surya Prakash and Konda Raghava Reddy told reporters in Hyderabad. Using police force for acquiring land is undemocratic and redesigning the project is absolutely not necessary, they said. Since the land acquired is fertile, they demanded compensation of Rs 25 lakh per acre.
