Jet Airways flight develops smoke, lands safely
The Jet Airways Bangalore-Mangalore flight on Wednesday morning took off and immediately landed safely, as the control tower observed smoke emanating from the plane and alerted the pilot. As soon as the plane took off, the air control tower observed smoke billowing from the plane. It alerted the pilot who made an emergency landing back at the airport. As the plane landed all the passengers alighted from the aircraft and are safe. None of the passengers was hurt. The observant ATS staff helped avoid a major mishap with some 65 passengers aboard. The authorities are looking into the cause of the smoke in the flight.
