What did you do for Kapus, Minister asks Chiranjeevi, Dasari

While the Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham's fast-unto-death entered the seventh day on Wednesday, the fasting leader was still refusing to accept medical help or undergo medical tests. At this juncture, the concern of all is coming to the fore. Kapu community leaders such as Megastar Chiranjeevi and Dasari Narayan Rao are more concerned than others. Equally the administration is also appealing to the Kapu supremo to accept medical aid and cooperate with the authorities. Meanwhile Mudragada is bent on his demand that the Kapus who were arrested in connection with the Tuni arson incidents be released forthwith. The administration is in a bind over the matter because it had taken 4 months to identify the accused in the arson incidents, including the burning of the Ratnachal Express. Talking to the media in Guntur, Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao said on Wednesday that the government was alert to the situation created by Mudragada. But he hit back at Kapu community leaders who were heaping criticism on the government in regard to the Kapu issue. What did the former Central ministers, Dasari Narayan Rao and Chiranjeevi, do for the Kapus when they were in power, Pulla Rao asked.
