HC appoints lawyers panel to go into Kothi Hospital conditions

While the Telangana lawyers are agitating for a split of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, the court is dealing with, among other things, the conditions in the government Hospital at Kothi. The visiting patients have complained against the conditions in the hospital. They have also complained that for anything to be done in the hospital, the palms of the medical staff have to be greased. The Court expressed anger at the hospital conditions. It has appointed two lawyers, Jayanthi and Padma, to look into the conditions and facilities at the hospital and report back to the court. The lawyers committee would go into the conditions. The court directed the committee to submit its report within 3 weeks.
