Unchequed Babu to promise a car for every house: Jagan

Accusing TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu of making false promises to people and coming to power, YCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy recalled on Tuesday some of the slogans of the ruling party such as, `If you want a job, vote for Babu.' The TDP had also promised to waive off farmers loans and Dwacra women's loans. Now what's the position, Jagan asked. He was addressing the media after the completion of the elaborate meeting of the YCP leaders in Vijayawada. Jagan said the TDP had come to power by making promises which were lies. If you were to leave it at that, you would only hear more lies. Soon you might hear, A car for every house, A plane for every house etc., Jagan added. If you want probity in public life, and if you want a leader not cashing in on false promises, there was no go other than showing chappals and brooms, he added. The YCP meeting took stock of the defections from the party and considered means to avoid further defections.
