YCP meets to arrest defections

After the horses have bolted, the YCP is trying to close its stable doors, even as there are threats of some more MLAs defecting from the party. Already 17 YCP MLAs have quit the party to join the TDP, while party leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy has been alleging they are being bought by the ruling party with amounts ranging from Rs 20 crore to Rs 40 crore. The YCP is holding its virtual general body in Vijayawada on Tuesday. Besides Jagan, the remaining MLAs, MLCs and MPs and others are attending the meeting. The aim of the YCP meet is to arrest the run on its MLAs and strengthening the party. In doing so, Jagan is said to be willing to hear out all the party leaders. They would be given liberty to say what they wanted from the party. Jagan is said to be holding consultations with all the party leaders.
