Powermen solve some issues at talks with TSRTC today

In view of the strike notice dated May 19 served by the Telangana Electricity Trade Unions Front to proceed on strike from June 15, the Chairman and Managing Director of TSTRANSCO & TSGENCO, and the Chairman & Managing Director of TSSPDCL and TSNPDCL invited the representatives of the unions for negotiations on their grievances on Saturday. The negotiations were held in a congenial and harmonious environment. The managements were very responsive and agreed to some of their issues forthwith. On the issues which could not be settled immediately, the managements and the Union representatives had agreed to refer the same to a committee constituted on June 7 to take them to a logical end. Further, it was also agreed by both the parties that the issues requiring policy decisions would be taken up once again for discussion before the Energy Minister on June 14. The Unions were requested by the management to withdraw the proposed Strike from June 15.
