Police lathicharge on RTC wokers for stopping travels buses from Bangalore
The TSRTC workers, who have given a strike call, on Friday morning stopped private travels buses on the city outskirts at Aramgarh on the ground that the travels buses were eating into the revenues of the corporation and causing losses to it. The police resorted to a lathicharge to disperse the agitated RTC workers.
The workers braved the lathis and struggled with the police.
The workers alleged that the private travels were not paying the necessary taxes to the government and were having a free run in the city and the State.
As the workers stopped the private travels buses at Aramgarh Chaurastha, there was a traffic jam and confusion all over as a result of the police intervening. The road traffic between Bangalore and Hyderabad was stopped.
Following the lathicharge, the RTC workers were dispersed.
