Give loans, don't just put out figures, CM tells bankers

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is not impressed by big figures. So when the bankers told him that they would be releasing Rs 1,63,538 crores as loans this year, Chandrababu pointed out that while the account maybe impressive, it was not fully given as loans in practice. Earlier, the bankers told him about the allocations under the different heads. Chandrababu further pointed out that NABARD was spending Rs 500 crore on the Smart Village Project report. If the money were to be given to the State government, it would turn rural areas into smart villages. He felt NABARD would be wasting money on the report.
