CM rushes back to review Kirlampudi situation

Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday rushed back to Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada following Kapu supremo Mudragada Padmanabham queering the pitch for the administration by threatening to commit suicide by consuming an insecticide if the police were to arrest him. Chandrababu was addressing a media meet in Cuddapah about the administration's welfare measures for the Kapu community when it was whispered to him about the threat posed by Mudragada at Kirlampudi in East Godavari district. Chandrababu immediately cut short his media meet and rushed back to Vijayawada by air to review the situation. Mudragada, who was locked up in his house, threatened to consume the instecticide he was holding in his hand if the police were to enter his premises forcibly. He talked to the police through an open window in his home. The nonplussed police simply stared at Mudragada inside his home. As the matter was conveyed to the Chief Minister, he rushed back. He was briefed at the airport itself by Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa.
